Pain! Who knows the meaning of this word? Now I suppose every mother out there who has given birth a few times is raising their hand. Fair enough. But, have you ever had your foot stuck in a tractor lawnmower? Ah ha, I got you on that one. It happened back when I was a tender three years old. 68 stitches, a massive cast, and many years later, I’m doing just fine. I’m left with one smaller big toe because the growth was stunted, and of course a massive scar. Nevertheless I’m very thankful. These days the only foot afflictions I have to deal with are ingrown toe nails. YIKES, have you ever had one of these babies? The pain is atrocious!

Okay, I’m about to tell you a funny story. It does in fact involve ingrown toe nails. Hey, what good story doesn’t? Anyway, there we were; my best buddy and I vacationing in Taipei, Taiwan. Yeah, yeah, I realize that no one goes to this particular island for vacations, but my friend’s family lived their. So where was I? Oh yeah, we were having a blast, hitting up all the local arcades, malls and eateries. Just basically soaking up the foreign surroundings. Little did I know, within a couple days, we’d be in utter agony. So let’s fast forward. I now have an ear infection, which I acquired from the local swimming pool, and he has an ingrown toenail. Now we’re moving down the sidewalk like a couple of invalids. I think some locals thought we were filming “The Usual Suspects part 2.” You know, that movie and the guy has the limp? So there we were, looking terrible and feeling worse. My eyes were watering from the piercing pain in my ear and my buddy’s foot was leaving a permanent wince on his face. We were pathetic. Then, all of the sudden, I decided to give him some advice on ingrown toe nails. I had dealt with a few in my day. I told him to take a tweezers, pry it up under his toenail, and then clip off the jagged corner with a nail clippers. It worked for me. Maybe 10 seconds of excruciating pain, tops.

Granted, most people will not want to deal with their ingrown toe nails the way I do. My buddy didn’t! He kept his the entire month we were there. I couldn’t believe it. An alternative to my method is seeing a physician. He/she can remove the ingrown toe nails for you, and it may be a bit less painful.

There are some women who are born with brows to die for, but many of us have to do a little work to keep them looking great. Many have a great natural shape, but they need a little work. I have very thick brows, so for me the ideal thing to do is to go in once every few weeks to get them waxed. Though I should probably do this once a week I just don’t have the time to do so. That means that in between visits I have to worry about eyebrow regrowth in order to keep things for getting to bushy up there.

There are a few common areas where eyebrow regrowth can cause you problems. All you need is tweezers to take care of things as they come in. You have to watch for eyebrow regrowth between your brows above your nose, along the bottom of your brow, and along the side of your outer eye were it might have grown back out after waxing. You can use your tweezers to pull these hairs out while you wait for your next appointment.

You can wax your eyebrows at home if you want to, but you may find that you have eyebrow regrowth coming back much faster than you would if you go to a salon to get your waxing done. This is because the stuff you can buy in the store is inferior to the wax they use in a salon, and it just doesn’t work as well. You may be tweezing the same day you wax because it missed a lot. It also missed the smaller hairs that may be hiding out, and you will have eyebrow regrowth in a matter of a few hours in some cases, but it does depend on how fast your hair grows.

You should take care of your eyebrow regrowth even if it doesn’t look bad. Some hairs grow in very fine, and they may not be very visible. They do, however, affect your makeup.
